The Corporation of the Town of Cochrane owns and operates the Cochrane Municipal Airport, located at 59 Glackmeyer Concession Road 4, Cochrane, Ontario.

Through routine inspections and operational observations, the Town has identified localized pavement deterioration along Runway 13/31, including surface cracking, settlement, roughness, and other asphalt distress. Certain sections of the runway have deteriorated to a condition that warrants rehabilitation to maintain safe aircraft operations and extend the service life of the pavement.

The Town has identified approximately 4,200 m² of runway pavement requiring rehabilitation; however, proponents shall satisfy themselves as to the extent of work required through their own investigations and site inspection.

The rehabilitation work is intended to improve runway surface conditions, maintain safe aircraft operations, reduce ongoing maintenance requirements, and extend the service life of the existing pavement infrastructure.

The Town intends to undertake the work during the 2026 construction season and is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to complete the required rehabilitation and associated works.
